Co-located resources are two or more Generators located behind the same point of interconnection that participate separately in the Energy and Operating Reserve Markets and share an Interconnection Service Limit.
/msdyn_blobfile/$value)
What is Changing:
Using a new constraint in its market engines, MISO will economically commit and dispatch resources sharing Interconnection Service Limits to maximize visibility, efficiency and value for Market Participants. This new interconnection service limit constraint will be enforced for Co-located Resources with combined generation capability that exceeds their shared Interconnection Service Limit.
Market Participants will no longer have to manage their offers so total offers from co-located resources will not exceed the associated Interconnection Service Limit. Customers will continue submitting offers in DART, and MISO will manage dispatch while honoring the interconnection service limit.
Timing:
The Interconnection Service Limit constraint will be implemented on October 1, 2026 in MISO’s Day-Ahead Energy and Operating Reserve Market for the October 2, 2026 Real-Time Energy and Operating Reserve Market Operating Day.
