Market Participants (MPs) who wish to transfer their Zonal Resource Credits (ZRC) to another MP may do so through a Zonal Resource Credit Transaction. A ZRC transaction is consummated when the Market Participant acting as the seller enters the transaction details on the Planning Resources->ZRC Transaction tab on the Module E Capacity Tracking Tool (MECT). Once all required information is entered and the transaction submitted, the Market Participant acquiring the ZRCs must access and approve the pending transaction to complete the transaction. After approval by MISO Resource Adequacy, the ZRCs will be available in the acquiring MPs portfolio. Transactions may occur at any time during a Planning Year.
